Today I want to show you how to transform a tag into a decorating element. This one could be used, for example, to decorate a teenager's bedroom.
The tag I'm using today is a XL tag which I love. I was also very excited about trying the new Mya chalk paints, and I must say the results are great! I love the colours, the texture... everything really, about them.
The first step is to paint the background with the Mya chalkpaint in the colour Linen. Then I have applied stencil paste using several stencils from the scrapbooking collection to make an irregular background.
Once dry I have used ink in shades of pink and I have pulverized water and shaked the tag to distribute the ink unevenly and then dried it with a heat gun.
Separately I have stampped on a sheet of paper this woman's bust stamp and I have cut it out in order to stick it on the tag.
Here is when I have tried the chalk paints by colouring the drawing using a waterpen. I love the result!
The colours I have used are Baby Yellow, Mint Green, Vintage Green, Coral, Baby Pink and Mallow.
I have made the final retouches by sticking flowers, sequins, golden foils, etc.
I hope you enjoyed it!
