Hello, I am Aurora. Today I am doing my first post as part of the creative team of TodoStencil.
My projects will always be related to scrapbooking and to mix media tecniques.
I usually try to go beyond and try new materials and combine different tecniques to achieve extraordinary results. I take risks, and this is precisely what makes this hobby become a passion for me.
I have tried to make and elegant and simple project for today.
This work is inspired by the spring season. I focused on flowers. I stencilled, embossed and die-cutted flowers. I also used flowered scrap papers.
For the cover I have used the flowered stencil and I have embossed the plastic sheet.
The resuslt is fantastic. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to emboss the plastic sheet because It's too thick. But as you can see It worked perfectly.
For the inside of the album I have put in between the normal pages the translucent plastic ones to make an original visual effect.
On the translucent sheets I have stenciled using white wax. You have to be a bit patient to let the wax dry completely.
On the first page I have used a multilayer stencil. I have made the first layer very thin and the second a bit thicker to make the petals stand out.
On the next translucent page I have applied an even layer of wax to make it more opaque, then I have stenciled with more wax a shattered glass texture design.
On the next page I have used embossing white powder to make the flowers.
I have made these flowers and the text on plastic which I have later cut and sticked on the translucent sheet with glue dots.
For a change, on the next page in stead of being made of translucent pastic I have used a paper sheet.
These are two pages with the same picture on them. In between I have placed a plastic sheet with die-cut flowers stuck on it.
On the last page of the album I have used the forest stencil for the background.
I hope you enjoyed this project.
