In this new project with Todostencil stencils we have recycled fabric and made customized ribbons to make gift wrappings have a personal touch.
The materials you need are:
The fabric we have used are cuttings of old bed sheets, as you already know, we love recycling. This type of fabric is perfect to use Markal paint on. We specially like the frayed edges. You can cut the strips as wide as you want. You will have to take it easy if you want to paint lots of meters of fabric. You don't have to rush, I personally find this work to be very relaxing and enjoyable.
Obviously, the longer the ribbon the longer it will take to complete, but with Todostencil's synthetic stencil brushes you will be faster and It will be an easier task.
Once the ribbon is finished, we must let it dry for 24 hrs and if we plan to wash it in the future we will need the paint to adhere by iron it (not directly, but placing an oven paper sheet between the fabric and the iron).
Look at the fantastic results! we have rolled our ribbons on a reel and it looks great!
