Time goes by fast, It's already june and all we think of is beach, pool, icecreams, and, of course, about our holidays. So while we patiently wait for them to come, we can get ready making this fantastic Beach basket.
This is how I've made mine:
The surface material I'm using is Kraft Tex, which I've been using a lot latetly. It is a resistant and versatile material. In this case I have painted it black with Mya Chalkpaint.
Over the black paint I have applied Mint colour paint (Also from Mya brand) but before it dries I have rubbed some off with a cloth.
I have done a replica in order to place one on each side of the basket.
While it dried I painted all the basket in Mya Anthacite colour. I have applied two layers, the first one with the paint a bit diluted in water. I must say this paint is fantastic and goes a long way.
I applied a bit of Distress on the edges and a layer of wax, to protect the surface. Then I have sewn the Kraft Tex over a linen fabric.
Lastly I have stuck the fabric on the basket sides. Also I have made a hanging decoration using the leftovers of the linen fabric.
