¡Hello! ¿Have you seen the Wood Boards available in our store? I love them, they are so versatile we can do with them everything that comes to mind. One example is the Photos Tree. I've prepared for today, in principle it is intended to place photos, but I wanted to go further and turn it into a different decorative object, a magical tree.
To do this, the first thing to do is to give a layer of primer to the wood to support the other products, I have used white gesso. Then, on one side, I applied irregularly two wooden stencils y Crocodile Skin with the Mastic Relief Stencil, do not extend perfectly. On the other side of the tree I simply applied relief paste with crackle effect.
Once it has dried, it's the time to apply color, this time I used metallic brown, turquoise and yellow paints (one of my favorite combinations) I also appied small purple color details. To give more depth to the set, I have painted the reliefs with Markal Paintstik Paint Metallic Silver.
Now it's the turn of decorating, so I glued some metal gears in the trunk, and the most showy (and laborious hehe) of this project, are the mini butterflies stamped in silver cardboard. About 100 butterflies to which I gave shape with my fingers, and then pasted only by the body, to give the movement sensation. The little birds are stamps painted with gray alcohol markers and with coral details, cut and glued to the tree.
Finally, I hung the small painted frames with the same turquoise and yellow colors, with transparent thread to give the feeling of that are floating. This board includes wedges, to hold it, I painted them with the same color as the trunk.
And we have ready our magical tree to decorate a corner, ready to put some nice photos in the hanging frames. I hope this idea will serve as inspiration and you decide to customize these boards.
