With this panel we want to show three samples of different effects and textures using stencils and silhouettes. We have divided the panel into three equal spaces for an effect on each of them.
On the first space we used the diamond lattice stencil to create a mesh in relief. We applied putty with a spatula and spreaded evenly. We lifted the stencil. The drying time of the putty is about 30 minutes, but can be accelerated by heating with a heat gun. Once the putty is dry, we sanded smoothly and after we put the stencil in the same position and painted with different colors.
The second space is to paint a lady in an Art Nouveau style. To do this, we position the stencil in the desired area, squaring the ornaments to the corners, and centering the letters and the lady. We'll show how to do tansitions and color blending.
On the third area we made a soft crackle base and then apply a silhouette of painted wood. We have used the same colors that the other aereas on the silhouette doing transitions and color blending.
We will soon upload a video tutorial of this project, you will see the entire process of all the techniques used.
